South Indian actress Ashrita Shetty and cricketer Manish Pandey tied the knot in a close-knit ceremony in Mumbai at The Leela. Manish is known for being the first Indian player to score a century in the 2009 IPL and Ashrita who entered into the film industry after being the face of the year for the brand Clean and Clear, is known for her lead role in the Tamil movie ‘Udhayam NH4’ alongside Siddharth. This cutesy celebrity couple got married on December 2, 2019, as per South Indian traditions and the photos were adorable!
After their wedding, the couple hosted a wedding reception in the same venue for family and friends. Manish looked handsome in a black blazer and Ashrita looked gorgeous in a lavender lehenga. The venue is known for its customized menus and finest floral arrangements and these elements were heroes of the décor during the wedding reception. They had a cricket-themed wedding cake for the event that included the cricket balls, a cricket bat and the beautiful blue colour from the Indian cricket team outfit as well as the green colour of the pitch. Looking at the cake one can clearly say that a lot of thought has gone into the making of it! The background created for the couple to pose for the paparazzi looked surreal with flowers in the background along with candles and the symbol ‘AM’ which was brightly lit.
The stage décor at the venue was equally stunning. The stage had beautiful flowers in the background and also in two big vases on either side of the stage. Even during their wedding, the couple had made sure that apart from the usual focus given to the backdrop of the stage, equal attention was given to the entire stage area, which is why they had a traditional lamp on either side of the stage during their wedding and a rangoli on the floor as well. Here too, the entire stage was decorated, with huge vases on either side, a garden décor at the entrance of the stage and of course the picturesque background setting of the stage!
From the pics, we can say that it was a fun-filled night for the couple and their guests. While many cricketers attended the reception, it was Yuvraj Singh who stole the spotlight with this amazing dance!
