On August 10, 2022, longtime love Carla Dennis and Indian singer Arjun Kanungo got married in Taj Hostel. For those who are unaware, Arjun and Carla dated for seven years before making the commitment. Carla Dennis is a South African model, actress, digital content creator, and interior decorator whereas Arjun Kanungo is an Indian singer, actor, composer, and entrepreneur who started his Pop career with the breakout hit ‘Baaki Baatein Peene Baad’. The couple, who met while shooting the music video for Baaki Baatein Peene Baad, felt a spark between them and started dating soon after. And now, after seven years, the couple has finally tied the knot.

Arjun Kanungo is well-known for his love songs, but few people are aware that he is also a lifelong lover. Arjun told about his romantic proposal to his girlfriend, model-actress Carla Dennis in interviews.
“I wanted to propose to her for a while now, but I wasn’t able to due to the COVID situation. I wanted to make it special, but for a few months, we couldn’t travel anywhere. Then, I realized that we could either go to Dubai or the Maldives. But since we did not have a lot of time, I planned a trip to Dubai. I got a beautiful yacht, we took it out around sunset and that’s when I popped the question. I had the ring ready,” he shares.
Talking about Carla’s reaction, he says, “She was quite surprised. She cried a lot, and then we both got very emotional. We then called our families and everybody was crying on the video call; it was lovely.”

An enjoyable sangeet and Mehendi reception marked the beginning of Arjun and Carla’s wedding celebrations. The pair posted some amazing images! Anita Dongre styled Carla in a stunning pink lehenga. Arjun radiated charisma and looked handsome for the occasion in a black tuxedo and a white pristine shirt. However, Carla was stunning in an ivory saree and matching off-the-shoulder top with a plunging neckline. She kept her outfit simple and added diamond earrings and her massive engagement ring as accessories.

Arslan matched Sussanne’s short flowery dress, which she looked lovely in, by wearing black semi-formal attire. In a rare appearance, actor Bobby Deol also brought his wife Tanya Deol, and the two looked stunning together. Tanya was wearing a pink saree-gown, while Bobby was seen wearing a black kurta and white pajamas.
Arjun has previously talked about his upcoming nuptials to Carla in an interview with ETimes. The then-groom-to-be revealed that initially, he had intended to wed in December 2022. He also mentioned how happy his girlfriend, Carla Dennis, is about his intentions to marry in the traditional Hindu manner. The singer had shown Carla’s fondness for Indian customs by saying:
“The marriage was long due. We were ideally looking at December 2022, but a few guests were unavailable during those days. I thought, why not just host a wedding next month if everyone is around? I know it is a little off-season, and the monsoon might make it inconvenient, but it was high time we got married; otherwise, it was just getting pushed. Carla understands Indian weddings and has, in fact, taken over the prep completely.”
