The Bengali bride even adorned her forehead with the traditional white & red Chandan bindis. However, the highlight of her look turned out to be the customized embroidered veil. The actress got a Bengali verse embroidered on the border of her veil which read, “Aamar praanbhora bhaalobaasa aami tomaye somorpan korilam.” In English, it means “I surrender my love-filled heart to you“. Now that’s one helluva way to celebrate culture and love! FYI, the verse was specially penned by Sabyasachi himself.

Rajkumar Rao, on the other hand, wore an embroidered raw silk ivory jacket featuring gold-plated Bengal tigers buttons. He wore it over a Bangalore silk kurta and churidar, and also added a red safa to up the coordination game. A Japanese pearl necklace from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery rounded off the groom’s glorious look.

The wedding was expected to be intimate with only close friends and family. Bollywood celebrities Farah Khan, Huma Qureshi, and Saqib Saleem, who were present for the engagement, were also expected to attend the wedding.
