Girls buy really heavy lehengas for their big day, but what after that? Usually, the lehenga is kept locked up in a cupboard, or just remembered in the pictures of your wedding album, or is taken out of the forgotten corner in case of a special event, and all this is just because it is very heavy, or cumbersome, or too much fancy for certain events. Well, now the wedding lehenga is something with which one’s emotions are connected and not all people would really like to give it away. Moreover, wedding lehengas are pretty expensive too, and then wearing it just for one time seems pretty much like a waste of money.

So, here we have come up with some amazing ideas to reuse your wedding lehenga and use it to the fullest:

1. Redo the dupatta into ruffles

The recent trends have shown a shift towards ruffles in all forms be it skirts, sleeves, or dupatta! You can get your simple net dupatta transformed into a ruffled dupatta and put it in a sleek manner on your shoulder or throw it simply over both your elbows and have the Disney Princess-like feels with a blend of Indian ethnicity. To do this you can either go to a tailor or boutique, or you can do it yourself at home.

2. Pair up the lehenga with a Kurti

Kurti and lehenga is a perfect combination if you want to look neither too much fancy nor too simple. You can choose different kinds of Kurti from a long straight Kurti to a long flared Kurti, from a short fitted Kurti to a short frock-style Kurti. You can literally pair up your lehenga with any kind of Kurti depending on your preference and comfort demands.

3. Replace the dupatta with a long jacket

To create a crisp ensemble, you can add a long jacket over your blouse instead of a dupatta. A long jacket either in a similar shade or a contrasting color can make your lehenga look completely different. Another thing that you can do is to get a jacket stitched out of your dupatta itself for a more matching outfit.

So, what you can do is just wear a blazer with your lehenga, either over the blouse or with a bralette, and in case you feel even colder, then you can just wear matching or contrasting skivvies under the blazer.
