South Indian Actor Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s Indian Wedding

Ever since Rana Daggubati posted a picture of himself with Miheeka captioned ‘And she said Yes :)’ we’ve been waiting for these love birds to get hitched. It’s quite commendable how they managed to hide from the media. But all said and done, we’re happy that they didn’t delay and even in the current situation, they decided to take the next step in their relationship.

The question here is, how do they know each other?

Miheeka is the niece of Tolu Bajaj who has long known the Daggubati family. Moreover, Miheeka is Rana’s cousin’s classmate and they have the same circle of friends. And coincidently, she lives right next to him in Jubilee Hills. It wasn’t long before their romance flourished and Rana finally proposed to Miheeka. As soon as the lockdown ended, the family kept a small home ceremony which kickstarted the wedding celebrations.

Let’s have a look at all their magical and beautiful ceremonies one by one.

The Roka Ceremony

The Roka or engagement ceremony was held in Ramanaidu Studio in May in Hyderabad. Where Miheeka adorned a Kanchipuram saree in shades of pink, peach, and yellow designed by Jayanti Reddy, Rana looked handsome in a white dhoti-kurta. Miheeka’s jewellery was designed by Krsala Jewels, Miheeka’s mother Bunty Bajaj’s venture. The antique jewellery has intricate meenakari work with traditional polki set in gold. It is said to belong to the Royal Family of Bikaner.

The Lagna Patrikalu Ceremony

The ceremony is a Telugu rendition of a traditional function, where the groom’s family visits the bride’s home to present the wedding card, which was organized in Miheeka’s home in June. She wore a beautiful mint green and pink lehenga, a creation by Jayanti Reddy. With makeup done by Tamanna Rooz and jewellery by her mother’s brand Krsala Jewels, she looked extremely elegant.

What’s more, she even wore a matching face mask!

The Haldi Ceremony

This ceremony was again carried out in Ramanaidu Studio on 6th August 2020. The ceremony area was decorated and designed by Preet H Jain of Bling Mushrooms. They used a mix of yellow and green colors along with hand-painted murals and elements of jute and gota-patti. Miheeka was in an elegant Anand Kabra bright yellow creation. The best feature of her ensemble was the cowrie shell jewellery.

The Bhaat Nyotana Ceremony

The Bhaat is a pre-marriage rite performed in the family of the bride. From both sides of the family, the maternal uncle blesses the bride and the groom in the form of gifts, jewellery, and clothing. The ceremony represents a brother’s love and affection for his sister. Since Miheeka is from a Marwari family, it is imperative that this ceremony was carried along with the haldi ceremony, with as much fanfare.

For this ceremony, Miheeka wore her mother’s wedding lehanga. She paired it with a jadau earring and bracelet made with polki, rubies and pearls.

The Mehandi Ceremony

On the next day, i.e., 7th August 2020, the mehandi ceremony was carried out with equal vigor and excitement. Miheeka was in a pretty pink Arpita Mehta embroidered jacket and lehenga set. Her jewellery had a mix of polki, pearls, Russian emeralds, and pink tourmalines. Rana Daggubati looked dashing in a Kunal Rawal three-piece set.

The ceremony happenings were expertly captured by Rohan Kumar of Rohan Foto.

The minimal yet lovely decor by using colors like light purple, lavender grey, blush pink, and dark green was done by Preet H Jain of Bling Mushrooms.

The Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony had also been performed in Ramanaidu Studio on 8th August 2020 with a limited guest-list of 30. The guest list included South Indian actors like Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Akkineni.

Just like how all the girls wish to look like a royal bride, Miheeka also transformed herself into an elegant and beautiful royal bride on her wedding day. Miheeka wore a gorgeous off-white and gold Anamika Khanna lehenga. The lehenga was made by hand-done zardosi with the finest form of chikenkari which was paired with gold metalwork. It was topped with a woven gold red dupatta. It is said to have taken a whooping 10,000 manhours to create this beauty.

Her statement jewellery was made out of rare polkis and was adorned with emeralds and rubies to give a dash of color.

Miheeka’s on-point makeup was done by Tamanna Rooz.

The groom was not behind in looking like royalty himself by wearing a pale gold dhoti-kurta set.

The ceremony was the perfect blend of traditions and customs to signify Miheeka’s Marwari culture, the couple first took 5 phera which was followed by the Gauri puja to signify Rana’s Telegu background.

The ceremony decor was inspired by Thota Vaikuntam painting, which was gifted to the bride and groom by the artist and it was beautifully bought alive by Comme Sogno Vero and Bling Mushrooms.

The lovely pictures of the happy couple and family members were captured by Reels and Frames.

Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s picture-perfect wedding revolved around North Indian nad South Indian traditions.

Our team @VenueMonk wishes the power couple the best for their life ahead and congratulate them for their beautiful wedding.
