The cute pictures and videos of Pakistani singer Falak Shabir and Pakistani actress Sara Khan’s wedding ceremonies have been making rounds on the internet and we can’t help but go gaga over the simple yet beautiful pre-wedding and wedding rituals. The intimate nikaah took place on July 16th, 2020 in Lahore with a guest list of 30-40 guests. The guest list comprised of their close family members and friends and even though there were no big names who attended the wedding, the happiness and liveliness was unimaginable.
And how did they meet you ask?
In an interview, Falak briefly mentioned that they had previously been acquaintances but they officially met and had a detailed conversation during the 2019 Hum TV Bridal Couture Week where Sara was a showstopper. However, it was on their second meet in a restaurant where Falak proposed to Sara, with the cliche going down on one knee and asking her hand in marriage. Even though there was no declaration of love, Falak knew that Sara was the one for him. Taking Sara’s heed, the singer met with the actress’s father and rest, as we say, is history.
Let’s have a look at all the wonderful rituals that took place in the wonderful city of Lahore.
The Pre-wedding Rituals
The ubtan/mayou/manjha/haldi ceremony was carried out along with the mehandi ceremony on the same day. For both the ceremonies, Sara Khan wore a yellow outfit. For the haldi ceremony, the bride let down her hair and wore a marigold garland on her wrists. With minimal makeup and no added extravagant jewellery, she looked extremely beautiful and all ready for the ceremony.

Later on, she was seen in a Nilofer Shahid mustard yellow floral ensemble, adorning a handcrafted pearl mala curated by Hamna Amir. Falak Shabir initially wore a white embroidered kurta-pajama but later looked dapper in a Humayun Alamgir maroon kurta.
The ceremony was carried out amidst lots of fun and laughter and the photographer Abdul Samad Zia captured the happiness that could be seen dripping from the couples’ faces. And let’s not forget the lovely decor done by using marigold, red and yellow drapes, and string lights that made the place enchanting.

The Nikaah Ceremony
The nikaah/wedding ritual was carried out on the 16th July 2020 in Lahore. Sara Khan walked down the aisle under a delicate-looking white phoolon ki chadar looking nothing less than a doll. She was seen wearing a Zainab Salman pink bridal gharara with golden thread work and had paired it with beautiful Hamna Amir statement jewellery set. The set consisted of a choker, a long mala, earrings, mangtika and side jhumar. The jewellary was made of polki, small pearls, blue, ruby and emerald stones.
And even though a kalire is not a necessity in Muslim weddings, Sara was seen wearing a beautiful white and pink floral kalire style jewellery on her right hand. It definitely proved to be a nice addition to her trousseau.
Sara’s gorgeous minimal yet perfect makeup was done by Imran Aslam Mua.
The groom wore a traditional Humayun Alamgir beige kurta which had amazing golden sequin work done on the neckline and straight cut white pajama. The brown loafers went very well with his overall outfit.
The photographer Abdul Samad Zia was highly successful in capturing all the emotions, fun, excitement, and chemistry between the couple and their family members.
Being a singer, Falak did not leave any opportunity to declare his love for his wife Sara by singing songs and serenading her.
Falak and Sara also posed for a lot of photos which showed how in love this cute couple is.
For all the functions, Sara’s sister, Aisha Zafar was the wedding planner and we must say, she did a fantastic job in creating a fairytale vibe. We also commend the photographer Abdul Samad Zia for clicking such wonderful pictures and gracing us with the couple’s cuteness and lovey-dovey images.
The @VenueMonk team wishes them the best for their future and we hope to see them successful in their respective careers.
