The interior of the bungalow was decorated with mogra flowers which were Sonam’s favourite and all arrangements were made according to her taste. The food menu included Mughalai dishes and other dishes that are famous all over the country. After the wedding, the couple hosted a Grand Wedding Reception in The Grand Ballroom at The Leela, Mumbai on the same day.
The venue is known for its customized menus and finest floral arrangements and Sonam had emphasized these aspects in her wedding as well, so it was the perfect venue that suited her taste and preference the most. The management at the Leela made sure that they brought in all of Sonam’s favourite elements on the background that was created for the paparazzi to photograph the couple and the celebrities who attended the event. The background predominately focussed on a floral theme and consisted of white and pink flowers.
Sonam Kapoor was wearing a grey and off-white full sleeved top along with a Chevron striped lehenga and an organza cape designed by Anamika Khanna and Anand could be seen wearing sneakers with his sherwani. The couple believed that weddings are like parties and the couple should celebrate it in a way that best suits them and makes them happy. They sure did follow what they preached! We can say this with conviction cause immediately after posing for the photos Sonam changed into a comfortable white kaftan dress designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla so that she could dance the night away at her reception!
