Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, most often referred by their fans as DeepVeer are one of Bollywood’s most loved couples. They are popularly known for playing the roles of ‘Ram’ and ‘Leela’ in the movie ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela’ as well as ‘Bajirao’ and ‘Mastani’ in the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Even though the rumours about them dating each other began during the shooting of the Sanjay Leela Bansali directed movie ‘Ram Leela’, the couple never officially confirmed it.
Nevertheless, the information about their wedding in 2018 did not come as much of a surprise to their fans. The celebrity couple chose Italy as the location for their destination wedding. They got married in an intimate ceremony in Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. DeepVeer made sure that the wedding ceremony celebrated the amalgamation of their different cultures. On November 14, 2018, they tied the knot in a traditional Konkani ceremony and as per Sindhi rituals and traditions on November 15, 2018. All the wedding arrangements were meticulously planned out and perfectly executed. The theme that they chose for the wedding was floral and the entire villa was decorated by 12 florists who were flown in from Florence to Italy to create the perfect floral décor. The destination wedding of DeepVeer was undeniably dreamy and beautiful. But, the couple made sure to host amazing receptions in India as well for all their friends, family and colleagues.

After returning to India, the couple hosted their first wedding reception on November 21, 2018, at the Ballroom of The Leela Palace Hotel, Bangalore. The venue was finalized by Deepika and her mom because they wanted a venue that provided amazing South Indian food and The Leela Palace offered better than the best. The wedding reception was hosted mostly for the Padukone’s near and dear one, members of sports fraternity and of course Ranveer’s family as well. The guest list included PV Sindhu, Anil Kumble, Pullela Gopichand, celebrity nutritionist Pooja Makhijia, etc.
Deepika looked stunning in a pure zari gold Kanjeevaram silk saree from Angadi Galleria which was gifted to her by her mother Ujjala Padukone. She wore an emerald choker and layered pearl necklace to go with the saree. Ranveer looked dapper in a contrast black embroidery sherwani by Rohit Bal.

The stage décor at the venue was simple and classy. It had red flowers, which showed the couple’s consistent love for a floral theme, along with vintage golden chairs and table. The combination of gold and red in the backdrop matched well with the couple’s outfits and the images look stunning!
