A Royal Sikh Wedding- A Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi Bride & Groom

Every to-be-married couple wants their wedding to be a very meaningful and memorable experience. The wedding of Gurpreet and Shiv checked all the boxes as the friends and family of the bride and groom got together to celebrate the love and union of the two beautiful souls.

GURPREET AND SHIV

MEET THE COUPLE

The Proposal

Prior to the couple’s truly extravagant wedding in Chandigarh, a cute proposal had occured in the Netherlands. Shiv got down on one knee for his beau in the picturesque ambience of the country and Gurpreet made a beaming to-be-bride as he slid the ring on her finger.

Mehandi Ceremony

A very traditional aspect of the Indian culture, the Mehandi ceremony has become modern and fun over the years while the true inspiration and meaning behind the ceremony have stayed the same.

Made from dried powdered Henna leaves, this mehandi paste is then used to adorn the hands and feet of the bride and groom. Pramod, the Mehandi Artist, had applied the mehandi in the most beautiful-looking and intricate patterns and everyone had loved it.

Gurpreet’s Sabyasachi outfit for the day went really well with the ggroom-to-be’s Anita Dongre outfit. Make-up artist, Shraddha Luthra, and professional hair stylist, Ruchi Arya shouldered the responsibility of making the bride look absolutely perfect for the occasion. The bedazzling necklace and earrings were the brainchild of Ankit Khullar and the pristine-looking mang tika was from the Curio Cottage Jewelry.

Haldi Ceremony

In traditional Indian weddings, the Haldi Ceremony is a pre-wedding affair wherein the bride and groom are covered in the rich and brightly-colored Haldi. A non-skippable pre-wedding ritual, the Haldi is believed to bring upon good luck and prosperity to the individuals who’ll be stepping into a new life together.

For the auspicious occasion, Gurpreet and Shiv had styled themselves in really vibrant outfits which went perfectly with the whole-theme of the haldi ceremony. Covered in the turmeric paste, the married couple-to-be lovingly applied some haldi on each other and posed for some beautiful pictures with their near and dear ones.

Sangeet

A musical night of joy and celebrations, the Sangeet ceremony has become one of the most important aspects of the Indian wedding. The families and friends get to let their hair down and put out joyful performances for the entertainment of everyone involved in the wedding.

For the sangeet, the bride had gone for a very stylish and chic Manish Malhotra outfit. Shraddha Luthra and Ruchi Arya had worked wonders with their make-up and hair tools and made the bride look stunning for the occasion.

Grand Wedding

All the pre-wedding festivities finally lead to the main wedding ceremony wherein the bride and the groom not only put their best foot forward, but are also extremely excited to start a new journey as newlyweds together. A union of two souls and two families, weddings are often an emotional affair.

The bride had looked absolutely ethereal in her extravagant wedding by Rimple and Harpreet. Meanwhile, the groom had gone for the perfect outfit from the house of Sabyasachi. The bride’s outfits were accompanied by jewelries and accessories from Jagdish Jewellers and Om Sons Bridal Store. The venue for the wedding had been decked up in beautiful floral arrangements and other decorations.

Since the cute proposal in the picture-perfect backdrop of Netherlands, everyone had looked forward to the union of Gurpreet and Shiv. It was a beautiful day as both the bride and groom looked more in love than ever. They were surrounded by their friends and family who showered them with love and blessings as they got ready to embark on a new journey together.
