BHAVDEEP AND HARKARAN

MEET THE COUPLE

THE MEHENDI CEREMONY

In India, the Mehendi Ceremony acts as a prelude to all other wedding festivities and is celebrated in the grandest way imaginable.

Bhavdeep Kaur, a blogger and an entrepreneur by profession, looked dazzling in her outfit from the Demarte label. Her vibrant outfit went really well with Harkaran’s outfit for the occasion. The beaming bride-to-be was decked up in jewelry from J’adore – The Styling Studio. Make-up artist Inder Kaur shouldered the responsibility of making Bhavdeep look absolutely perfect for the event. Coming to the mehendi, everyone was fascinated by the designs done by Kamal Arora. Nestled in the beautiful ambience of the location, the couple looked more in love than ever and posed for some great pictures with their close friends and family.

THE “HALDI”

Prior to the wedding, “Haldi” is applied to the bride and groom as it is believed that the mixture confers blessings upon the to-be-married individuals. In stark contrast to other wedding events, the “Haldi” ceremony is an understated affair. However, the friends and family of the bride and groom take great pleasure in dousing the individuals with the bright coloured Haldi.

The “Haldi” ceremony was an elegant affair, thanks to the exceptional lighting and decorations. For this event, the bride had picked a stunning outfit by youngberry and had done her makeup herself. The to-be-bride was also adorned with some great jewelries from Kundan Jewellers. The happenings at the event led to some great pictures wherein the couple playfully applied Haldi to each other.

THE CHOODA CEREMONY

In a Punjabi wedding, the chooda is the most important accessory adorning the bride. A set of 21 red and white bangles, these intricately designed choodas are believed to bring immense good luck upon the newlyweds. Meanwhile, kaleerey are umbrella-shaped metal hangings that are tied to the chooda. The friends and sisters of the bride take part in tying the Kaleerey to the Chooda.

THE MUCH-AWAITED WEDDING CEREMONY
