Manish Pandey is known for being the first Indian player to score a century in the 2009 Indian Premier League (IPL). He has played for multiple teams in the IPL starting from the Mumbai Indians in 2008, Bengaluru Royal Challengers in 2009, Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 and Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018. Ashrita Shetty is a South-Indian actress known for her performance in the Tamil movie ‘Udhayam Nh4’ where she was cast opposite Siddharth in the lead role. Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty got married on December 2, 2019, immediately after Manish led his state team Karnataka to victory in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy the previous day. The couple got married in a traditional South Indian style at The Leela, Mumbai and wishes poured in for the couple from the cricket fraternity.
Manish looked dapper in a beige sherwani and Ashrita looked stunning in a red Kanjeevaram saree. The traditional antique jewellery that she had worn complimented the outfit well and made her look gorgeous! A floral décor was chosen as the theme and the venue managers made sure that the décor brought out all the elements of a South Indian wedding and created an ambience that was perfect for the occasion. The marigold flowers along with thatched banana leaves at the entrance along with the traditional ‘Kuthu Vilakku’ (aka traditional lamp) looks elegant and classy and adds the conventional South Indian touch to the décor as well!
The décor provides a picturesque backdrop in the photos and overall, the pics look stunning! The stage décor was done brilliantly as well by the venue managers. The mandap had a hanging floral décor along with marigold flowers in the background. The thatched banana leaves along with the ‘Kuthu Vilakku’ (traditional lamp) arranged on either side of the stage along with the beautiful rangoli drawn on the stage floor, made the entire stage look dreamy and surreal!
