Bollywood Reception of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh at The Grand Hyatt, Mumbai

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, most often referred by their fans as DeepVeer are known to be one of Bollywood’s cutest couple. They are known not only for their on-screen chemistry in the movies ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ but also their off-screen chemistry as well. Although, rumors about their relationship started during the shooting of the Sanjay Leela Bansali directed movie ‘Ram Leela’, the couple never confirmed this news officially till the year 2018 when they announced that they were going to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy.

Deepika and Ranveer made sure that the wedding ceremony celebrated the amalgamation of their cultures and traditions. They got married in a traditional Konkani wedding ceremony on November 14, 2018, which was followed by a Sindhi wedding ceremony on the next day. The wedding theme that the couple had chosen was floral and it was beautifully decorated by 12 florists who were flown in from Florence to decorate the villa. The destination wedding of DeepVeer was dreamy and surreal, to say the least and the couple made sure that the wedding receptions that they hosted in India were special as well!

After coming back to India, they hosted a wedding reception in The Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on November 28, 2018, for select journalists, industrialists and Ranveer’s extended family and the couple’s close friends. This wedding reception saw Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh twinning in ivory and gold outfits. While Deepika chose to wear a Chikankari lehenga from the Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla label, Ranveer Singh was seen in an ivory and gold kurta along with white palazzo pants from the same label. Two days after this beautiful reception, the couple hosted a ‘Black-Tie wedding reception’ for their colleagues and friends from the film fraternity on December 1, 2018, in the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

This event saw the couple sporting colours that were in contrast to their prior wedding reception two days ago. Ranveer Singh looked handsome in a black tuxedo by designer duo Rohit Khanna and Rahul Gandhi and Deepika looked stunning in a blood-red dress by Zuhair Murad. The gown came with a detachable skirt which allowed Deepika to switch to a more comfortable outfit for the party after posing for the paparazzi in her floor-sweeping vermilion gown.

The staging area where the couple and guests would be photographed by the paparazzi was also decorated with red flowers that not only went well with Deepika’s outfit but also carried on the legacy of beautiful flower decorations that was consistent throughout all their wedding ceremonies. The celebrities who attended the event include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Sharukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, Sonakshi Sinha, Sachin Tendulkar, etc.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh made sure that every minute detail of their wedding in terms of arrangements at the venue, food, outfits etc. was planned and executed meticulously.
