A Grand Post-Wedding Party of Salman Khan’s Sister Arpita Khan with Aayush Sharma took place in Hyderabad

Salman Khan’s younger sister Arpita Khan’s wedding with Delhi based businessman, Aayush Sharma at the Taj Falaknuma Palace Hotel was a royal affair and the most talked about event of the year 2014! And why would it not be? It had covered all aspects of a dreamy, destination wedding and the fact that it was in a palace made it a fairy-tale wedding!

The wedding took place according to Hindu-Punjabi rituals and was an intimate event with around 250 guests at the venue. The guest list included celebrities from the Hindi and Telugu film fraternity as well as politicians. Some of the guests who attended the wedding apart from the families of the bride and groom were Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Hema Malini, Sajid Nadiadwala etc. The guests from the Telugu film industry included Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and their families. The venue managers made sure that a high level of security was provided for the event and ensured that fans and paparazzi are not allowed to enter the venue. Inside the venue premises, Salman Khan had his security personnel along with the hotel security to ensure smooth functioning of the event.

The Khan family had booked all the 60 rooms in the palace for the event and the wedding celebrations started in full swing when Aayush led the baraat at 4.30 pm followed by the varmaala and pheras. The wedding décor had a pink and white theme. The stage was decorated in pink and white flowers and the whole palace had pink lighting, making the whole palace look regal. Arpita looked stunning in a red and gold lehenga designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and Aayush looked handsome in a gold sherwani , studded with Swarovski beads of crystal glass, and designed by Hyderabadi Makhdoom brothers.

The wedding was followed by a post-wedding party in the evening. Arpita was seen wearing a beautiful white lehenga and Aayush looked dapper in a velvet sherwani. The couple along with Salman Khan also stepped outside for some time to pose for the paparazzi. It was a fun-filled night with many events. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan performed at the event and it is said that even Katrina Kaif performed in the grand wedding bash. Singers Mika Singh and Honey Singh made the event lively with their songs as well.

One of the highlights of the post-wedding reception is also the 150 kgs cake prepared by Mumbai based baker Pooja Dhingra. The multi-tiered cake was prepared by seven bakers and took 3 days to finish! The cake was assembled at the Taj Falaknuma. And all that hard work shows on the cake because it’s a well-crafted, magnanimous and sumptuous looking cake! It consisted of gold macarons, sugar flowers, gold foil on which the initials of the bride and groom -AA were engraved! The wedding feast that was organized was a royal treat as well. It included flavours and dishes from the pearl city and land of Nawabs, Hyderabad! Some of the dishes were Hyderabadi biryani, Pathar ka gosht (meat cooked on stone), Haleem etc. Taj Falaknuma is known for its amazing food and the world’s largest dining table with 101 seats.!
